  1. Your electrolytes and potassium levels may drop. The Longest you should go is three days…. you can build yourself up for longer fasts….dont push it the first time

You can fast for two weeks without too much problem.I had a childhood illness,and was off solids for up to six weeks.I was fed a liquid vitamin.The big problem I had was weakness.But if you come off solids,and have liquids, like soups and water etc,it doesn’t do much harm.It is said we eat far too much anyway.

  4. we are muslim… before EID we fast for 1 month. what we do is we eat early around at 4;40 AM in the morning. and dont drink or eat anything untill 5:30 in the evening… we break the fast with a lot of fruite juice, water, and cool foods with high protien like beans, puffed rice, ….we carry on this for one month… and we are perfectly healthy,,.. u dont have to carry out for one month… just do it once in a month….and if u have acidity problem then u have to take the medicine in the morning…. but make sure u drnk plenty of water when u break the fast…..i think u will be fine….

I fasted for 3months without food or water, just died there in my bed, other times when I try to fast for 3 days it seemed like impossible so my conclusion is the fasting has to be as smooth as possible. You won’t last for more then a week if you mind has the thought of fasting cause that would create to much stress to your body. As for how long a person can fast that would depend how long they have been abusing their bodies. If you haven’t cleaned your insides for more then 20 yrs and all of sudden fast for 21 days or sumthing that would be dangerous.
