fasting cleanse
barebackrider_19 asked:

I would like to know of a good 2 to 7 day fast a person could go on if they have an active lifestyle. I would like to avoid losing weight from it if I can! And would prefer one without any refined sugar (want it to be healthy as possible)
I have tried the “Master cleanse” for 3 days before and I lost 5 pounds that I did NOT wan’t to lose. Not sure if I am being unrealistic, but would appreciate advice from someone who has (experianc) with fasting.

  1. Last week I bought the book “The purification plan” hands down the best detox I have ever seen. The book IMO is the best. I read the entire book in 3 days I couldn’t put it down. You eat during this 7 day cleanse. I start mine next week. Spending this week eating healthy to prepare.

  2. I would have thought that the simple fact that you would be fasting, would entail weight loss.
A better idea surely would be a detox – where you can eat and drink but, certainly with some of them, in quite large quantities. It’s just what you’re eating and drinking that helps detox the body.
But fasting is just that – no food! Anyone who doesn’t lose weight after 7 days of no food isn’t normal!

  3. I wouldn’t recommend fasting at all while maintaining an active lifestyle. Some people find short fasts consisting of water and fresh vegetable juice to be purifying. If you absolutely must fast, do it for a very short period of time (1-2 days) and be sure to drink lots of fluids. Do not participate in any strenuous activities. Try to keep somewhat quiet and use the time to rest and relax.
