fasting cleanse

I really just want to go on a fast for 5 days, that will cleanse my body. What should I eat/drink?
i am not doing this to lose weight. i am already really thin. i am just doing this to cleanse my body.

  1. It is a possibility to lose weight quickly but you should be realistic and accept that if you lose weight quickly then you will almost certainly put it all back on again just as quickly. The sole diet that definitely worked for me was wu-yi tea, it can be checked out in the resource box underneath, they have a small number of free trials left, it has been featured in Reader’s Digest and CNN. I lost twenty pounds, it definitely does work!

  2. Fasting doesn’t work. All it does is improve the immunesystem and temporarily switches on a gene that strengthens cell integrity, making you feel better… for a short time. Then you gain it all back with change because your metabolism has been floored in a matter of days.

    If you want to cleanse your body because you’re having stomach issues, take a laxative, and eat normally.

  3. fruits/veggies/fish/water……..without extra…. NO ONE ever got fat off of these

  4. I’ve never fasted but i know people who have. All you have to do is make a bunch of hot tea of whatever kind and drink nothing but that with honey stirred into it. It worked for them and they felt a lot better.

  5. unless you have extremely good self control,i do not recommend fasting.for starters,it is extremely difficult to say no to food.and if you manage that,its even harder to refrain from binging once you begin to eat again.
    i had an eating disorder (im recovering now..or trying to) and i fasted for four days on water only,about a month ago.i lost 8lbs.since then,i have devolded a very serious binge eating problem.i have gained 20 POUNDS.and im still gaining.im scared,my life is torn apart,im going to have to see a nutritionist,a consellor,possibly a mental health worker.food has very litterally taken over my life,and i cant stop it.im living in a nightmare,and this is h e l l.
    so,unless you want to go through what im going through,i do not recomend fasting.

  6. Well one guy there sure is stuck on that “TEA”, I sea it in a lot of his answers.

    I does not sound like you are doing it to lose weight, but to cleanse the body. This is also referred to as Detoxing; getting rid of the toxins in our bodies. There are a lot of detox diets out there, but really, do not go on a fast, but rather a 5 to 10 day diet of no meat, and lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. Drink lots of 100% juice. And preferably these should be organic, free of toxic pesticides.

  7. You really shouldn’t fast. If you need to cleanse your digestive system, just take a laxative or drink a quart of hot water with 2 tablespoons of sea salt in it (if you can handle it, I started gagging after the first 2 gulps).

    If you starve yourself, and then start eating again, its really hard not to binge as most people know….I highly suggest not to fast because of that.

    But…If you insist, make sure you drink tons of water and some green tea…(if you eat green beans, spinach, and/or celery during those 5 days with the water and tea, you might be ok)
