I detoxed for 10 days once. It is best to drink vegetable soups etc instead of being completely food free. However even though I did lose weight, I just put it back on again so I think a healthy diet is the best way to losing weight and keeping active. The other thing is the human body is actually highly efficiant at detoxing anyway so we don’t really need to to anything more than eat fresh foods to maintain good health. But it’s your choice, it’s an interesting experience, but I don’t think it really helps your health at all and since I put all the weight back on then it was kind of pointless.

I have lots of Muslim friends. And they fast during the fasting month they call Ramadan. According to their religion, it is to cleanse their body and also feel and live the lifes of others who is less fortunate.
I tried fasting once just for the sake of trying. To be totally honest it felt like hell at first but after a while i ot use to it. Fasting does not only help us cleanse and detox but it also teaches us to appreciate everything around us. It also teaches a person to be discipline in what they are doing.
To be totally honest fasting does not really help a person lose weight. It depends on how much a person consume when they break their fast.
When a person fast i guess their metabolism would be really low so that is why if that person consume alot it still won’t do much difference.
I think everybody should try to fast to stay healthy.

Fasting and detoxing are great seasonal ways to cleanse the body of an over-load of toxins, and happily loose weight in the process. You must detox first- before the fast. Detoxing gets the toxins out – which is needed before you fast. Usually the first 4-5 days of a detox are the hardest- with the body feeling like it has the flu….these are all the toxins releasing from your internal organs. After a period of at least 3 days to 3 weeks of detox – then you can safely start a fast. If you follow the detox first you won’t be hungry or feel weak when doing the fast. I never felt sharper in my life! And such energy! going back to eating in your regular way should not be done too fast either….take it slow….take a few days to add foods back in. Sadly, we go back back to our old habits, but if you can do a detox/fast at the change of seasons (4 times a year) it would be a great help to your system.

I did fasting and only on water for 7 day, a glass of milk for 3 days, and 5 days on milk and juice. It worked out really well for me. I did not intend to carry on the fast for this long, but felt good. I am just great now, healthy and active.
By depriving the body of food for a time, the organs of elimination such as the bowels, kidneys, skin, and lungs are given opportunity to expel, unhampered, the overload of accumulated waste from the system. Thus, fasting is merely the process of purification and an effective and quick method of cure. It assists nature in her continuous effort to expel foreign matter and disease producing waste from the body, thereby correcting the faults of improper diet and wrong living. It also leads to regeneration of the blood as well as the repair and regeneration of the various tissues of the body.
It is the Master Remedy
