balance and moderation are the keys. there is nothing balanced about this cleanse.
eat mostly whole grains (except white rice is good too), cooked vegetables (salads slow our metabolism), more veggies than fruit, a little bit of meat, no to little dairy. Drink green tea with most meals. Get a little exercise every day (not always the same exercise) . The book also gives advice regarding lifestyle and attitudes in order to be in balance.
read “the asian diet: simple secrets for eating right, losing weight, and being well” by Bussell, an acupuncturist.
It is the best, most simple and straightforward, and balanced advice out there. It’s a lot different from what we have always been told, but apparently is has been working for the asians.
