it’s safe, but you’ll just gain it back. i know its not the answer you want but once you go off the fast, your body (which was in starvation mode) will put the weight back on twice as fast as you lost it…. just how the body works.

it wont be that bad i guess. ive tried it before. just dont starve too much. i tried not eating from morning all the way till evening, by just drinking water. and i ran alot. at night i used to eat normally.

Fasting can be safe… you just have to be reasonable about it.
Why don’t you try a partial fast… like the grapefruit fast… for 5 days, then eat normally for two days? You’ll lose the weight and you won’t endanger yourself.
The grapefruit fast is simple. Throw a sectioned grapefruit – skin, seeds and all – into a blender and liquefy it. Drink 8 oz.twice a day (and eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day) on the days you’re fasting. Sounds strange, but it works! And quickly!
There are other kinds of partial fasts. I’m sure you can find one you want to do if you search the web.

Fasting is a great way to eliminate some of the toxins that are in your body at the moment (cleansing action). If you do a fast, it will also shrink your stomach size down to normal. And your GI tract (small intestines, large intestines, and the colon) will have a break and clean up its villi for better absorption when the food comes again.
Cleansing action will help you lose water weight (the water that your body holds on to when you have toxins circulating in your blood stream, and later when the toxins get released from your fat cells -fat cells insulate the toxins in your body that the liver does not know what to do with). But fat cells need to be coaxed out into the blood stream by your body. Your body will only do this after causing the basal metabolism to go to minimium, and then using the fat cells for energy. Fat cells are only used for energy, not for replacing broken cells, proteins, enzymes, all the body keeping healthy stuff that usually breaks down during the day.
Pick a fast that will replace these nutritients daily (green foods usually do the trick), but not giving you anymore fat or sugar for energy. A fast can last only so long (a week at the most), then it will be up to you to see how you will eat afterwards. Will you go back to the way you were eating? Then you will be right back to where you are now. You will have to change your eating lifestyle to a new one, and incorporate not only eating foods differently, but how about some exercise that you might like to try?

I don’t personally believe in fasting as a means of weightloss in of itself.
